What is GHRP-2 (Pralmorelin)?

GHRP-2 is a synthetic peptide that activates growth-hormone secretagogue receptor pathways. “Pralmorelin” is a name associated with the molecule in endocrine literature. It is distinct from growth-hormone-releasing hormone analogues such as CJC-1295, and evidence for either cannot be assumed to apply to a combined preparation.

What has research examined?

A diagnostic study compared growth-hormone responses in 77 healthy subjects and 58 people with confirmed deficiency after the studied challenge, exploring test performance rather than long-term treatment. A separate randomized, blinded experiment in 19 volunteers examined food-intake and GH responses under short laboratory infusions. These endpoints show physiological activity under specific conditions, not general muscle gain, injury healing, or safe self-use.

Important limitation

Hormonal challenge tests and brief appetite experiments do not establish patient benefit, safety of repeated exposure, or equivalence of a supplier’s vial. FDA flags potential immunogenicity and impurity concerns for compounded injectable and nasal GHRP-2 and reports serious adverse events with causality not established.
