Senescent-cell model research

FOXO4-DRI

FOXO4-DRI is an experimental peptide designed to disrupt a FOXO4–p53 interaction in senescent-cell models. Cell and mouse findings are not proof of a safe or effective anti-aging treatment.

Research overview

What is FOXO4-DRI?

FOXO4 is a transcription factor implicated in survival of some senescent cells. FOXO4-DRI is an engineered peptide investigated for interfering with its interaction with p53. The “DRI” design refers to a D-retro-inverso strategy; the label does not independently verify that a supplied peptide has the studied structure.

What has research examined?

A foundational paper reported selective apoptosis of senescent cells under tested culture conditions and improvements in selected tissue and functional measurements in accelerated-aging and naturally aged mice. Another experiment examined senescent Leydig cells and testosterone-related measures in aged mice. These preclinical settings do not establish prevention of human aging, broader selectivity, or long-term safety.

Important limitation

Removing senescent cells in selected experimental models is not a validated human healthspan outcome. Off-target effects and translation to people remain unresolved. No preparation, amount, schedule, or use is recommended.

The calculator performs concentration arithmetic only when a user enters a mass and liquid volume. It does not verify identity, formulation, purity, sterility, stability, compatibility, biological-unit equivalence, or whether reconstitution applies to a particular product. Do not convert IU or other biological units to mg without an authoritative, exact-product relationship.
