What is NAD+?

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) participates in many cellular redox and signaling pathways. It is chemically a nucleotide-derived coenzyme, not an amino-acid peptide. Oral precursors such as nicotinamide riboside are distinct interventions from directly infused NAD+.

What has research examined?

A small human pilot measured plasma and urine NAD+ metabolites over a six-hour direct infusion. It was a pharmacokinetic/metabolomic observation, not a placebo-controlled test of fatigue, aging, or neurological benefit. A critical review of oral NAD+ precursors describes unresolved questions and should not be read as proof for direct NAD+ vials.

A biochemical role and metabolite changes cannot validate clinical claims or independently supplied product quality. No amount, infusion, preparation, or use is recommended.
