What is Selank?
Selank is a short synthetic peptide based on a tuftsin-related sequence. Its studied formulations and molecules should not be equated to generic supplier powders or other neuroactive peptides such as Semax.
What has research examined?
A Russian-language study compared Selank with medazepam in 62 participants with generalized anxiety disorder or neurasthenia and reported questionnaire outcomes. It was a small active-comparator study, not a large placebo-controlled U.S. trial. Molecular research explored GABA-receptor modulation in experimental systems. FDA says safety-related information for proposed compounded Selank is inadequate.
Small comparator results and molecular findings cannot establish an approved anxiety therapy or supplier-vial safety. No amount, route, or use is advised.
