What is CJC-1295 (no DAC)?
The “no DAC” designation indicates absence of the drug-affinity complex used for albumin binding in long-acting CJC-1295. The marketed shorthand is not a substitute for an exact peptide sequence and chemical characterization. Modified GRF(1-29) is a name encountered in analytical literature, but products using this label can still differ in actual identity or added modifications.
What has research examined?
An analytical study identified modified GRF(1-29) and unexpected glycine-modified variants in seized powders by comparison with reference standards, illustrating why a name alone is inadequate. By contrast, the often-cited controlled human CJC-1295 study tested a long-acting, albumin-binding analogue and measured growth-hormone and IGF-I responses for that studied substance. Those findings should not be transferred to a no-DAC vial. FDA lists CJC-1295 among substances with possible immunogenicity and peptide-impurity concerns, limited clinical data, and serious adverse-event reports including increased heart rate and systemic vasodilation.
