Kisspeptin-10 (Kisspeptin)

Kisspeptin-10 is a ten-residue fragment of the kisspeptin family studied for effects on reproductive hormone signaling. It is not interchangeable with kisspeptin-54 used in other clinical studies.

Research overview

What is Kisspeptin-10 (Kisspeptin)?

Kisspeptin is a family of peptides that interact with the KISS1 receptor and help regulate GnRH release. Kisspeptin-10 denotes a short C-terminal fragment; the longer kisspeptin-54 is a distinct investigated molecule. Similar names do not make doses, duration, trial outcomes, or products equivalent.

What has research examined?

An endocrine study in men measured LH pulse frequency and related hormone responses after kisspeptin-10 under a small experimental design. Some fertility studies instead examined kisspeptin-54, which cannot be cited as proof for a kisspeptin-10 vial. FDA has flagged immunogenicity, peptide aggregation/impurity concerns, and insufficient safety data for proposed compounded routes of kisspeptin-10.

Important limitation

Hormone-response endpoints do not establish treatment of reproductive disorders or safety of repeated exposure. Kisspeptin-54 trial findings are not kisspeptin-10 outcomes. No fertility treatment, amount, preparation, or use is advised.

Calculation boundary

The calculator performs concentration arithmetic only when a user enters a mass and liquid volume. It does not verify identity, formulation, purity, sterility, stability, compatibility, biological-unit equivalence, or whether reconstitution applies to a particular product. Do not convert IU or other biological units to mg without an authoritative, exact-product relationship.
