GLP-1/glucagon dual-receptor research

Mazdutide

Mazdutide is a dual GLP-1 and glucagon receptor agonist evaluated in controlled metabolic trials. China approved a particular product; this does not approve a research vial in the United States.

Research overview

What is Mazdutide?

Mazdutide is a modified peptide designed to engage both the GLP-1 and glucagon receptors. The studied manufactured investigational product, a particular product approved by China’s NMPA, and a supplier research vial are three distinct quality and regulatory contexts.

What has research examined?

The randomized GLORY-1 trial in 610 Chinese adults with overweight or obesity found substantially greater mean body-weight reductions with studied mazdutide than placebo; gastrointestinal adverse events were common. Innovent reported NMPA approval of its product for chronic weight management in China. Neither clinical results nor Chinese approval establish FDA approval or the identity, purity, or suitability of any differently sourced powder.

Important limitation

Trial participants and product manufacturing were controlled. Cardiometabolic endpoints and jurisdiction-specific approval cannot be generalized to unregulated research material; this page offers no amount, schedule, preparation, or treatment instruction.

Calculation boundary

The calculator performs concentration arithmetic only when a user enters a mass and liquid volume. It does not verify identity, formulation, purity, sterility, stability, compatibility, biological-unit equivalence, or whether reconstitution applies to a particular product. Do not convert IU or other biological units to mg without an authoritative, exact-product relationship.
