Research overview
What is SS-31 (Elamipretide)?
SS-31 is a research name for elamipretide, a short peptide investigated for mitochondrial cardiolipin interactions. Exact approved Forzinity solution, studied investigational formulations, and supplier powder should remain distinct.
What has research examined?
FDA granted Forzinity accelerated approval to improve muscle strength in adults and children with Barth syndrome weighing at least 30 kg, based on disease-specific evidence. In contrast, the 218-participant MMPOWER-3 trial for primary mitochondrial myopathy did not improve its six-minute-walk or fatigue primary endpoints over placebo. One diagnosis’s approval is not a generalized mitochondrial or anti-aging claim.
Narrow approval and a negative trial in another disease cannot validate a research vial. No amount, injection, or preparation advice is offered.

Calculation boundary
Forzinity is a specifically labeled prescription solution. A generic SS-31 powder-vial/U-100 conversion cannot substitute for its product concentration, indication, or evidence.
